Blog Entry:

Friends of West Ridge,

Thanks for your interest in the “Ready?” message series.  The inspiration for this series happened when a gifted biblical counselor came to a church staff meeting and spoke about “Readiness for Change.”  All of our staff felt like the message was personal, powerful and biblical.  Last Sunday’s message came from Psalm 107.  If you would like to pre-read for next week’s message, check out Matthew 14.  We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Grace and Peace to you,

West Ridge Announcements:

We will celebrate Father’s Day (June 21st) with a child dedication ceremony during our normal worship service.  If you have a child you wish to dedicate, please send an email with your child’s full name, date of birth and a digital picture, to Dave.

Men’s Summer Group will meet on all 4 Wednesday evenings in June at 7:30 pm.  We plan to Climb Pike’s Peak again on June 27th.  We are telling you early for 2 reasons.  First, consider bringing a friend, or a son, or a protégé... pray about that.  Second, we will train together by climbing the hill in Sedgwick County park after our Wednesday night meetings.

The first Women's Connecting Point will be this Friday, June 5, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. We will participate in a shoe-cutting party for Sole Hope.  To participate, you are invited to bring one or all of the following items:  old jeans (denim), scissors, plastic folders, or money to sponsor the completion of a pair of shoes.  If you would like more information on Sole Hope or the process of making the shoes, check out their website at www.solehope.org.  This will be a great time to connect with each other while making a difference in the lives of children across the world.  We hope to see you there!
